Online Marketing in Offline Media

At Rassak Experience, we’ve been hard at work launching the Ray Hopewood’s 2008 presidential campaign on behalf of a client, BigFix, Inc.

What?

That’s what the San Francisco Chronicle said, and they were so interested in the story of our viral campaign that they put it front and center on the business section of the Chronicle this Saturday (June 9, 2007).

You can read the article here on SFGate.com:

Viral campaign spreading: Online marketing effort may germinate into business leads

It makes for an interesting read and focuses on how using non-traditional, entertaining methods of marketing can drive real results for clients. Click here for a picture of the paper. It’s a little odd, and very cool to see a website you designed printed in the newspaper.

Please forward it around, or digg it.

GMAIL Down for 4.75 hours and Counting…

As of 12:00 PM PDT (and maybe earlier, that was the first time I checked email today) my gmail account (dylan.thomas@gmail.com) has been inaccessible, giving the following error page instead of my usually overflowing inbox:

Gmail Down
Due to the distributed nature of gmail, everyone else I know has working email, but mine is down. I’ve had my account so long, perhaps some of the original gmail servers just died.

Google, if you’re listening, fix it soon, or I’m moving to Yahoo! I’ve been a Google Advocate for years, but I just can’t afford to be without email when I need it most.

[Update: After 5 hours, my gmail account was finally accessible again.]
